Furniture is a long-term investment. Get the most out of your Prestige Affairs pieces by caring for them well. Here are some tips* to help you.

DO

  • Regularly re-tighten and adjust the bolts and screws on your furniture – especially after moving it
  • Get two people to lift either end of your furniture when moving it around
  • Keep your furniture away from direct sunlight to avoid colour changes from light exposure
  • Use coasters and placemats to protect furniture from hot, moist, or wet cups and containers
DON'T

  • Place furniture near air-conditioners, radiators or heat vents. Temperature changes can cause deformation, discolouration, warping and/or cracking
  • "Plop down on" (short, extreme overload) chairs, benches and other seating. These impacts cause excessive strain to the furniture and will cause premature wear and damage.
  • Forcefully swing doors open / closed. This causes excessive strain to the door hinges and will cause premature wear and damage.
  • Open multiple doors and drawers of the furniture at the same time. This can cause it to topple over
  • Slide objects across your furniture
